I once knew of ten men who knew of a man
who sailed to the Jordan in his aluminum can
They were quite low on food so they saved their last goat
and ate crackers and jam that they found on the boat
While digging in water to find treasure deep
They dug up a man whom they knew as a creep
The treasure chest finally, it came with such glee
That they sent in their dog with a bone to bury
Well the moon passed the sun and they both said goodnight
But nights filled with terrors and nightmares and fright
As time ticked to minutes passed quarter to two
Came a boredom struck goblin with nothing to do
Well he snickered, he laughed, he attended his bath
Then he followed the men on the scent littered path
As they noticed finally, there came such a shout
That from the sad goblins ears there was blood pouring out
He was rushed to the medic emergency with urgency
But the doctor was out on vacation with sights to see
Out of each eye so Visible a tear
When the poor Goblins spirit had left out of here
With hearts painstruck, damaged, and broken in pieces
A learned man worked on so grimly on thesis
A paper to savor and warm 'nuff to cheer
A light sprang to trickle straight out of the dreer
As sailors find home on the lens once again
They were speeding on tin can while drove by the wind
But before they reached shore there came such a knock!
Too bad for poor sailors, sunk by the rock.
